History: Hydra was born as a result of an affair between her mother Glykeria and one of the vampire kings, Alucard. Her older sister, Esmeralda, had also came from the affair which had an impact on their lives, mainly Hydra's, due to not knowing. Hydra was never really shown any affection by her father; he could tell that she wasn't of his blood while showing more of a preference towards Esmeralda for resembling his wife. He was rather controlling towards Esmeralda in comparison to hr sisters as she was basically like the odd one out. Even he treated Hecate better when she began to display erratic behavior. Hydra usually ended up with clothes of whatever her sister's didn't like, especially Aphrodite who was spoiled majorly by their father. She often had to deal with expectations from her father to be like this and be like that although she knew that simply wouldn't be her, but she found it hard to rebel against her father.

She found herself at a turning point in her life when Esmeralda was selected to participate in a tournament where teen aged vampires fought to the death. Not wanting to witness her sister potentially get killed, she volunteered to take her place which shocked many people as it was unexpected due to the image her father had set up for her. Having to kill those around her age along with almost dying herself changed her a lot. It was almost as though she changed to a completely new person overnight after winning the multi-day tournament for that year. The tournament had caused the uncontrollable blood thirst she had inherited from her biological father to come out of its dormant state. She wanted revenge for having to kill innocent peers and to help bring all of their families justice. Of course it didn't get the point she wanted across when her blood thirst caused her to slaughter entire villages. That didn't go well with the council nor did it with her family. Her father began to put tougher restrictions on her which went to the point of the only way she could dress and present herself.

One day, Hydra had sneaked out of the council's castle and went to explore through a forest. She came across a man named Ricimar along with his people. Once she laid eyes on him it was like love at first sight with the two getting married just a couple weeks later. As it was her first love, Hydra had no clue what exactly she was doing and was often a bit naive with how relationships worked which didn't help with the fact she didn't see any potential flaws in her husband until hundreds of years after the fact. Within a few weeks of marriage, they had conceived a child. She felt both scared and excited; scared as she thought she was barren and excited because she thought she was barren. They ended up having a daughter named Liuva to represent their love. Just before Hydra could see their daughter turn a year old, her father had found her and took her away back to Italy.

A couple hundred years later, Hydra met a woman named Rosaline and hit it off secretly seeing each other whether it was through hidden portkeys or by sneaking out in the middle of the night. Hydra's father had noticed something was up with her and went through her belongings and discovered that she had a girlfriend. Angered by this news, he went through any vampire family he could until he found someone he felt as though could keep Hydra in her place. Before she knew it, she found herself in a loveless marriage unable to see her girlfriend only able to talk to her through letters. Early on in the marriage, they conceived a son that was named Derek. Although the pregnancy hormones had made her affectionate towards the father, she had no feelings for him other than resent. However, she was absolutely in love with Derek as it meant she wouldn't have to always be around somebody she hated due to the expectations at the time. A few years after Derek was born, Hydra got tired of living a lie and brutally murdered her husband after putting a poison in his drink for dinner. Knowing she'd get caught, she took Derek somewhere else for his safety and reunited with her girlfriend Rosaline for the first time in years. Early on when they were in hiding together, Hydra once came back from one of her hunts to discover her girlfriend had been killed. Devastated by the loss, she vowed to protect any loved one she possibly could even if it meant she might die. A few months later, she discovered she was expecting another child with her deceased husband when she realized her body was changing. She felt inconvenienced by it, so she attempted to try to survive for two instead of for one. After the child was born, she ended up not naming them to try not to form much of an emotional connection in case something were to happen due to the conditions she was stuck in. The child passed away after a few months due to SIDs, so Hydra made it her goal to just survive the best she could. After being in hiding for over a century, she decided to might as well pretend to be a teenager to have some sort of person-to-person interaction as she attempts to deal with the culture shock coming for her.

Family History: The Lams are a very ancient vampire family that have been thought to have begun existing somewhere in southern/southeastern Asia. New members into the family are rare as most of the family was born in the ancient times with the exception of one of the members having been married at some point in life and produced offspring. The other sisters, however, had neither married nor reproduced for the possibility of infertility due to the matriarch, Glykeria, having been cursed to only produce female offspring and no heirs. The family has a pretty high status in vampiric society and are often considered to be one of the possible original families. Due to their longevity and status, they have a few seats on the council allowing them to have some power in the legislature and many other components of society.
