History: Aphrodite was born alongside her identical twin sister Blythe as the third and fourth daughters in the Lam family. Despite them being identical, Aphrodite was praised by her father for her beauty although her mother found every one of her children to be beautiful in their own way. The family structure she was used to began to change with the birth of Esmeralda; things just didn't seem the same as her parents were pretty unhappy with each other for a period of time. She was upset when her mother barely gave her attention due to caring for her half-sister, so she often whined to her father who kept spoiling her just so she wouldn't feel unwanted. She wanted to use that opportunity to an advantage. Just less than two years after Esmeralda was born, Hydra had entered the world. She felt an immediate disgust of her; she found it obvious that she wasn't from the exact same bloodline as her compared to Esmeralda who at least resembled their mother.

Her father had invested into some of the most prestigious tutors to educate Aphrodite even if she wasn't exactly the best at learning and even if she didn't care about knowledge. Aphrodite used that fact to show off to her sisters that she was the prettiest and their father's favorite child. At times, she'd often twist the story to work against them if they had broken any rule with their father believing her without question. That led to some heated arguments between her and her sisters and unresolved resentment from her twin. When Hydra had volunteered for Esmeralda for a tournament, Aphrodite was shocked as she never expected her to do that. Of course, that thrilled her as well as it meant losing one of her half-sisters. She couldn't believe it when Hydra had won, but she could tell something was different. Once her half-sister's killings had become known, her sister Hecate's behavior was kept under wraps, and Aphrodite shifted all the blame onto Esmeralda for not seeing it coming. She constantly vilified Hydra and made her out to be a monster treating her badly any moment she got. What else could she do after all? It wasn't as though she had the same blood as everybody else but Esmeralda.

While nobody had heard from Hydra for a while, Aphrodite was starting to be trained to become a member of the council after her father had deemed Hecate to insane for such a position. That news came to an end within a few years when a member of the council told her father that she was too immature to become a member with the position later being given to Esmeralda. That made her upset. She was so used to getting anything she wanted that she couldn't believe her dad had decided to give the position to someone not of his blood instead. When Hydra had returned, Aphrodite refocused her frustrations from losing a spot in the council on to her claiming that it was all her fault and that she wished she and Es were never born. Those comments didn't go well with her mother who couldn't believe that she'd say such hurtful things to her siblings.

She overheard her father talking to the father of the man that he'd make Hydra marry. The news honestly excited her as it meant that she wouldn't have to deal with hearing of her for a very long time. However, her glee was crushed when she had discovered that Hydra had brutally murdered her husband. She began to go on a media witch hunt about her sending various lies to the media outlets in vampire society that were out there at the time; Aphrodite wanted to tarnish her name even more than it already was. Without Hydra around to torment, she decided to focus her frustrations onto her own twin as she was pretty sure Esmeralda already had enough due to being the closest to their either dead or alive half-sister.

Starting in the mid-20th century, Aphrodite was beginning to get sick of quite a few people in her family; they weren't spoiling her or anything like she was used to, and it was pretty much the same everyday. It had gotten stale, boring, and repetitive. She decided to travel outside of where the council and her family tends to congregate in Italy and go to London. Aphrodite had fallen in love; it was nothing like she was stuck with at home, so she bought an apartment to live at whenever she wants a vacation or just to get away from her relatives. Getting sick of her relatives much more, she had decided to make her stay for the time a tad longer in London by enrolling at the University for the Magically Gifted in hopes of more freedom from them while allowing herself to show off her glory to everybody there.

Family History: The Lams are a very ancient vampire family that have been thought to have begun existing somewhere in southern/southeastern Asia. New members into the family are rare as most of the family was born in the ancient times with the exception of one of the members having been married at some point in life and produced offspring. The other sisters, however, had neither married nor reproduced for the possibility of infertility due to the matriarch, Glykeria, having been cursed to only produce female offspring and no heirs. The family has a pretty high status in vampiric society and are often considered to be one of the possible original families. Due to their longevity and status, they have a few seats on the council allowing them to have some power in the legislature and many other components of society.
